EXACTLY

I have a question regarding the crux of crota... so I have been doing some reading online about how to obtain the crux and it still seems a bit vague to me. I have beaten hm crota a couple times now and only on my second time doing it did i actually recieve the glowhoo shader (from what I understand it was supposed to be a guaranteed drop the first time). Regardless, it seems to me that the majority of people are of the understanding that you must first beat hm crota, and then the second time beating hm crota within that same week is the drop that has the chance of offering the player the crux. Am I correct in this? If anyone could reply with a for sure answer I would appreciate it as I am still attempting to obtain said item.
