You say it's losing replay value, but from looking at your profile, you've logged over 13 days worth of play time. I'd say you've had your moneys worth. Why not take a break, play something else for a while and come back for HoW?

This game had zero replay value from the beginning. There's no story to the game, and the only thing there is to do on Destiny is to grind away pointlessly without an actual aim. Money's worth? No, not even close. Besides, this thread's been created primarily to shoot away at the appalling loot system.

It's people like you that's ruining this game and the games rep. Blind to the fact that the game yoy paid around £40 for gas kept you hooked for a extremely huge amount if time. After so many hours any game would get boaring destiny is not like most games and cannot be expected to be. Your lack of understanding to the simple facts it seems is what drives a huge amount of complaints People like you make me ashamed to call my self a gamer some days, I feel sorry for any company trying to make a game in this day and age as this generation of gamers are straight up morons for the most part
-
Perhaps if they made a game which had a decent beginning, middle and end, we wouldn't be having this conversation. Did you ever play Halo? If you didn't, this is probably why you'd accept Destiny as a "good game". Activision screwed Bungie over, which is why this game's so mediocre.
-
I loved halo but destiny and halo are not comparable....They are completely different types of game. Bungie is really on to something with destiny. Destiny is an awesome game and has many flaws. With a few changes that no dowt will come in the second one destiny has to potential to become the go to game, the game people will struggle to put down (like they did with this one) and will continue to keep coming back to for a very long time (oh yea which they do with this one) people need to stop comparing games. No game is comparable to another as all games have thier own very different pros and cons. There's more story to destiny than most people know, the beauty of destiny is it throws you in a universe with little to know explanation and let the types of gamer be divided by the ones that put the time in to find out and those who car not to find out and just want to complain that it's not spelt it for them like in most all other games.
-
You are right, Destiny has the potential to become a great game. However, the game lets us down with so many aspects including its storyline or lack thereof. Even if they rectify this in Destiny 2, it doesn't excuse the current lack of storytelling, not to mention it's amateur level design. If I wanted to play GoW, I would. It's people like you which prevent Destiny from advancing because you accept these fundamental flaws as law and see nothing wrong with them. Scout the forums, you might be surprised with the amount of people complaining about the same issues.
-
I wouldn't be Suprised at all. Destiny will grow and change ether with love and support than it will with hate and complaints there's a life lesson there should you wish to learn it. bottom line is you bought a game that you have played hundreds of hours of and now your board and pointing out and ll the flaws. You got more than your money's worth but from the sounds of you of your response to the last time someone said that to you you don't quite grasp what that means....was it even your money that paid for the game?

Edited by Venom: 3/18/2015 11:55:20 AMOf course it was my money; I work. Furthermore, I disagree - unless something receives criticism then it won't improve. I'm not bored of Destiny, I just wish it was better.
-
Criticism is not what this game gets as a whole. The fact that people flood this site the way they do and justify it as criticism is part of what's wrong with the people on this site and the gaming generation as a whole. Everything needs critising but the lack of understanding and hight if idiotic complaints and wingy people astounds me

13 days worth of play is far more than you get with most games. The loot system is fine as well.
-
The loot system is pathetic. Look, I'm not seeking for an argument with some Bungie fanboy who's willing to sweep their flawed game designs under the carpet - Halo was great, Destiny isn't so great. There are many things which could have been done better. Thirteen days of gameplay isn't so great when it's spent grinding away doing the same repetitive crap that you're limited to because Destiny offers no variation nor challenge.
-
The loot system is the same as lottery You buy a ticket I buy a ticket I could get 1m and you get nothing It's random You could win $1 and I could win nothing Completely random Hence random
-
I already stated it's randomly generated, and that's why it sucks.
-
Hardly a fanboy. If it wasn't random, you'd have had everything in the game after about 48 hours worth of gaming or maybe even less. Have you enjoyed your 13 days of game time? Because if you haven't, I do wonder why you've played that long. You're right too, Destiny has a good few flaws keeping it from being the game it can be, but the loot system is way down the line.
-
I agree in aspects regarding the loot system, but I think bosses should at least be looted properly as well as raid bosses because randomized drops for both of those factors is pathetic.
