What do you think Oryx is?
I think he will be something totally new.
Edit 1: love these ideas! A few people have mentioned that Rahool is Oryx. Frankly with that Easter egg in the Skywatch I am starting to believe it.

I doubt we'll see Oryx in this Destiny, if ever. I'm still hoping the next Destiny will start taking us outside of our solar system. I know that's a big leap from being stuck behind the asteroid belt, but I want to see where all these aliens came from! The decrepit cities of the Fallen, the consumed worlds of the Hive, the mechanical monstrosities of the Vex... And I guess the Cabal too. But if we do see Oryx, I hope he's something completely new.

They need WoW style bosses. Ive never played the game but i have seen it and they are not bound to one section i belive. We need some boss movement with enviroment having a factor. Then there would be real raid strategies instead of "stand behind the glass wall and shoot rockets" maybe even having 3 man raids would be kill

I dont think its a "creature" as such, could be the travellers evil hive brother, or even the traveller itself... Tbh oryx was probably the traveller and there was too much written into hive lore for them to scrap bits about oryx. Wasnt the original story set where you and "crow" (the queens bro) were out on a mission to uncover the traveller for what it really is?

The Black Garden- destroyed the heart Crotas End- you can see the Eye of Oryx in the backaround. I believe that the darkness was actually a giant evil being. Xur even says, "Your Traveler has a dark mirror." You see the hive emulating this being with their different followers. Emulating Oryx, who is the darkness. The Will of Crota The Heart of Crota Etc.
