Tomb Raider definitely doesn't do QTE's correctly. First of all, you never know when the hell it'll happen, and second of all, the time frame for clicking the button is so exact it's extremely frustrating.

  • Wot? There's nothing wrong with them...

  • They always happen during playable action sequences aka sliding down a waterfall, time actually slows down so you know it's coming. And during combat when your countering, which also slows down time so you know it's coming. I played through it twice and can't recall one time where I didn't see a qte coming. Maybe when a wolf or person is pulling you and you gotta toggle the left stick is sudden but you have all day to win that battle.

  • ...? I never saw the time frame as an issue. They're supposed to require reflex but they're still lenient. Tomb raider gives AMPLE warning for when a QTE is about to happen. Never once was I caught off guard by one. At least they don't surprise you during cutscenes like The Order 1886.
