Tom and jack like cars. They both like the same car. Jack works his goddamn ass off and buys that car when he finaly has enough money and its available. Tom buys a lottery ticket and wins the car. So who earned it?

Tom worked to get them money he used to buy the ticket, so ether way they still both worked for it. Realistically what better worrying about how or what someone got or living your life being happy no matter how much of something you do or don't have.
