This is the definition of elitist: "Elitism is the belief or attitude that some individuals, who form an elite—a select group of people with a certain ancestry, intrinsic quality or worth, high intellect, wealth, specialized training or experience, or other distinctive attributes—are those whose influence or authority is greater than that of others" ... In my opinion, bearing the title of an elitist should be restricted to the best players. These people are the ones who've platinumed Destiny, logged on hundreds of hours and are good at most if not all aspects of the game.

Dr. Evil: Why have hundreds of hours when you can have.... 1 Billion? Hours? Mwahahaha. -From the Book of Evil

Don't get me wrong, I respect skill. I respect players who have 2700+ grimoire score. I don't respect people who say they're elite simply because they have a good gun.

Thank you sir me and my 2885 score are grateful. ;)

I agree with you 100% on that. Rewards are distributed via the mysterious and merciless deity known as RNGesus and this means the best player in the world with 1500 hours played could still lack a Gjallarhorn. One simply doesn't become an elitist by getting a good gun and acting like an arrogant prick about it.
