I have found that people like you seem to do well with weapons like the mida multi tool or badger ccl (i think) or any other faster rate of fire scout. I guess it's just enough like an auto rifle that they do well but hey who knows. The scout rifles also are the only weapons really used for long range as most of the other weapons work at close to mid range hence why I am recording the fast fire rate weapons as there as much riding on each shot.

Well I played a game called DUST 514, in it was a semi auto called the scrambler rifle. The ScR had a fire rate of 700 so you could spam it as fast as you could hammer the trigger but it did medium damage. Basically my ideal scout rifle is more in line with the Vex than anything else, but I'm trying to mold to Destiny's iteration of the DMR.

Yeah, I suggest trying to buy the badger ccl or the mida multi tool as they seem to be what you are looking for
