Please don't try and stand as a guardian to evolution when you don't understand this stuff yourself, it gives it a bad rep. Neanderthals, while they may have interbred with homo sapiens, did not evolve into them.

Evolution means change in gene frequency over time. That has been observed in numerous case studies, hence it is a fact. Look up speciation.

Difference in what? They go together. A fact is something observable and scientific theories explain facts. It's like gravity. Gravity is observable. Bodies of mass attract each other. Then the theory of general relativity explains why/ how they attract each other.
