Nah Nintendo shafted Sony when it came to making their CD attachment for them. Sega also showed Sony how to do CD games in hopes of a collaboration but it never materialized. Sega also shot it self in the foot multiple times especially with console because they didn't want to make their consoles too powerful that it would take away from their very lucrative arcade business and is why they gimped their consoles. It's good for Microsoft because it'll bring condition for both to be better than the other.
