I really want more Alien games. No idea how Isolation got the low rating it did.

Edited by Tu Chocolate Caliente: 3/4/2015 5:26:33 PMIGN chose the wrong reviewer for it. Hell they did like 5 opinion articles to use as damage control after everyone was shitting on them for it. They literally gave it a bad score because it's Hard mode was difficult.
-
It dragged on too long and was repetitive was still a fun game.
-
Are you kidding? Dragged on too long? It's an alien game that's meant to replicate the first movie. Game isn't supposed to be in your face.
-
The game was 20 hours long
-
This is a horror game, not a first person shooter. All of them last that long.
-
This is a horror game, not a first person shooter. All of them last that long.
1. Actually it's a mix of the two genres 2. This game is kind of a one trick pony, and although scary at first, the tedium sets in after something-teen hours.
-
How is it a combination? The primary thing you do in the game is not shoot.
-
Halfway through the game you switch to shooting the working joe's instead hiding from the alien. You even get a flamethrower to fend off th alien with later. It's a Horror FPS with stealth elements. Look, it's a good game, just not great.
-
Don't know what difficulty you're playing on. Working Joes take all your ammo to kill.
-
And...? What does the difficulty have to do with the implementation of shooting mechanics?
-
Because shooting becomes useless if you're playing on the intended difficulty. Nor are you just running around with your gun out the entire time.

Edited by Lethenza: 3/4/2015 6:12:44 PMNo, not the entire time are you shooting, but every time you shoot, it's in first person, hence FPS. Shooting isnt useless on hard, not against the Working Joes.

Pretty damn useless in my experience. 10 pistol shots, or 5 shot gun blasts.
