I was referring to the Rookie specifically, but the fact that Dutch retired, and Mickey opposes further conflict makes me believe that the remaining members of the Squad won't be reunited. Ever.

Buck and Romeo are joining a squad cause buck is tired of leading. So they could still make a game off of that.

They all have characters and lives beyond the squad. If they're to be done any respect, then sometimes the story has to end if that's what fits the character. Defining them by the squad would be poor writing; instead Romeo, Dare and buck are Spartan IVs, the others went a different path and settled down. Is that a bad thing now?

I can understand the writers wanting to give the Squad something to make them seem more Human, and they certainly could've selected a worse character to kill. All I'm saying is, they likely pissed off a lot of fans, not least of all the ones who hated 343i in the first place.
