Sorry call me naive but why are people spending anymore than they have to on headsets?
I just use the one provided with my PS4, are you guys not able to hear people or can people not hear you? What do you need the extra clarity for? Has there been a situation where, due to a communication breakdown, you haven't been able to play the game to its full potential?
Honestly just want to know what spending more money to hear people's bad mics will do for you?

I used to think that way to but honestly it's unbelievable the difference ... I've just purchased my first triple figure headpiece and what a difference ; no cable it connects through a wireless dongle and the mouthpiece is built into the earmuffs( which is padded) , complete comfort .... And the quality of sound is amazing ; I have two muffs in which the chat and game audio come through the head set with the ability to set the ratio of what you want to hear more, it completely drowns out all other noise around me ... When you play single player campaign with the built in surround sound the immersion level is scary good.... Yeah it makes a huge difference

I use to have your opinion, then my Mrs bought me a headset. Once you try it you will never go back. You will not believe how great the sound is. Forget the mic, it's about the immersive surround chain which makes it a different game altogether.

ive got the astro a50, and i got it hooked up with my pc and ps4. i can hear both at the same time (for example videos or music ). personally i find it anoying when i hear more than someones voice (loud music which sounds crappy through a headset). also i can mute my mic + my mic sounds waaaay better for others + i can hear others really clear. the cable (which is apprently a headset) which comes with the ps4 , is crap. youre mic sounds bad + it always falls out of your ear (not even 2 speakers for both ya ears )

Because people who use the included ear bud destroy my ears before I get a chance to mute them. And then I can't hear them anyway.

Not for the mic...for the actual sound experience. Playing with a good headset changes everything

I have a 4 month old kid so if I want good sound sometimes I need to keep the TV down. I use px21 turtle beach 7.1

I have a $2000 home theater system that shakes my walls if I want it too....that's not the point of a gaming headset lol

Gaming with people without headsets is annoying as hell. You can hear everything when they have the sound coming out of their TV or speakers.

Most people prefer headphones especially notice canceling due to kids/wife/s
