Good work. Ive been working some variables myself because of the 1540 criticals of Word Of Crota at 331 vs Fatebringers 1505 criticals at 300. The impact has more to do with it than the actual attack value. It really is pretty much black magic lol. Nicely done.

It's all dependent on what level enemy your shooting at, and the fact that word of crotas is a 68 impact hand cannon where as fatebringer is a 81 impact gun. Fatebringer caps out at 502 damage against level 20 mobs, where as WOC caps out at 571 damage (calculated) against level 22 enemy's. Fate bringer does 502 against level 20's, WOC will only do 495 (calculated), and hand cannon crits are x3. End of the day against anything over level 20+ WOC will do more damage than fate bringer, where as anything below and in pvp fatebringer will win especially with explosive rounds, or field scout and the firefly perk. In fact I'd say in personal preference fatebringer will do more damage than WOC any day due to the firefly perk. Hope that helps...

Do you mean level 30? My old A1 with 300 attack does more damage to level 32 enemies than my 331 Fang of Ir Yut.
-
Old a1? And lvl 20 is the cap for 300 damage weapons, 22 is the cap for 331 weapons. Is your fang of it yur doing 317 damage against lvl 22-32's...
-
A1 (well A1.19XY Or or something like that) is a vanguard scout rifle. Does 1047 headshot damage on everything up through level 32. Fang does like 1017. A1 has the same impact as badger ccl I believe.
-
Then it's got 55 impact, where as fang has 48, at 300 attack it does 352 damage. So ye your old a1 will do more damage and have a higher crit...
-
You seemed to be indicating that 331 attack weapons would do more damage to enemies over 22 than weapons with 300 attack, even when those 300 attack weapons have higher impact. Just clarifying.
-
Not quite. More impact will still do more damage if the difference is significant.
-
Nope, it's all down to impact, and attack, take this example, a a1?/badger ccc 55 impact 300 attack vs fang of it yur 48 impact 331 attack, the Badger will do more damage even against level 33's all because it has a higher impact and for scout rifles the damage line gradient is steeper than with other weapons. Hence the fang doing less damage, all due to it having a lower impact...

That is the same conclusion I landed on. Fatebringer wins. Although I think explosive rounds break firefly.
-
Unfortunately it does, but that's due to the nature of the explosive rounds, I think from witnessing the difference between with and without explosive rounds the AOE triggers the firefly perk, not the initial shot. So a bodyshot that causes a crit on the explosion sets off firefly...
-
I can see that. I will experiment with that today. I still just dont like spreading the damage out in area if firefly gives me better area damage.
-
That's why I started packing field scout, might only be 1 more bullet but it also increases reserve and the firefly works more constantly. ..

I agree. Thats what I run on it.
