It is indeed frustrating that Destiny has issues with network connectivity while other applications don't. The only thing I can imagine is that Destiny uses specific technology for networking that require some people to do additional network configurations while others don't. I'm personally not a fan of using this kind of model but I can't complain all to much since I only have had two occasions of non-connectivity. Currently all kind of caterpillar are crawling over my living room and I feel helpless trying to play.
Hopefully some kind of transparency and permanent fixes are coming soon.

It really is frustrating. I have been neglecting my hunter and decided to work on him yesterday. He is a 15 and I figure I grind for the day and get him to 20. Nope. Every time I hit a load screen or at some point in a mission it boots me. So I have to go back and restart everything over. And over Even going to the tower is a chore. I'm sure it is possible that they do we some type of networking that does have issues with players networks but that is a poor excuse and a horrible move on their part. I shouldn't have to suffer and go to the ends of the earth because their network structure sucks. My equipment and settings work for everything else I do online. The game is a great game when it works. That's a huge "when".

If you are experiencing some issues still caterpillar hawk cattle try logging out of the website and see if you can maintain a healthy connection. Some people who have their accounts linked are reporting successful uninterrupted play doing this. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the tip. I will have to try that. A double edged sword if it does help, since I am really digging the fact that you can use the app to do your vaulting and such now. I would hate to lose that just to be able to play. But given the choice, which I shouldn't have to make...
