just got 42 kills to end with a 4.0 k/d in control ...that was because of universal remote. Here's a tip though: don't use it in pvp until you get the universal remote upgrade because it's terrible before that. But once you get it, you'll be downing people so fast that you won't even know what happened to them. For a pve standpoint, it's a LOT of fun to play around with, but if you're looking at actually doing damage and getting bang for your buck, than simply use a shotgun for your special weapon. However, this thing still destroys anything, the reload time is a the problem, but it's nothing you can't get used to. UR was my first exotic and I was very disappointed about it. But something told me not to dismantle it. ...and it's a good thing I didn't.

  • It's still effective in PVP even with the continuous nerf to shotguns?

  • I haven't noticed any difference at all. The one thing that differs on UR is that it has ungodly range compared to most shotguns, but has a slower fire rate. However, I've killed people in two shots from probably a good 10 ft away and sometimes even further. (if we were to use real measurement) With UR, you'll quite often find yourself in a sticky situation with having to shoot someone twice to kill them, but once you get used to the gun its usually not a problem. The update didn't effect the gun much in pvp and it didn't effect it at all in pve due to the increase in damage. But otherwise, I still kill people at the same distance that I preciously would

Damn, I bought it just for the Grimoire but I'll have to max it out and give it a go in PVP, thanks.

  • Yeah np. But first, a few other tips 1. I highly recommend using blink. When you get into a situation that you need to get out of, such as being surrounded, blink allows you to get out of there a lot easier than any other jump. 2. Use full agility. Now, I'm not too sure how much of a difference modifiers make in crucible considering toughness almost does nothing, but agility is key to getting up close to the person and hitting them to down them 3. Use your grenades. If you're playing control (which I recommend doing while running UR) than I would recommend throwing a grenade before running into a flag that's being captured by the other team. This will allow you to 1 shot anyone that was affected by the grenade. Those are just a few things that may help your experience and will help you not hate the gun. It will take time getting used to, considering I was terrible with it for the first week I started using it, even after I got the UR upgrade. But in the end, you'll be happy after doing really good
