Legendary wise, I've definitely noticed this. I get a lot more auto rifles and shotguns than other guns, and it just happens that those are the ones I use most.
Of course, it could be I'm using them more because they drop more often. So it might be a chicken or the egg type question .

Destiny has been pushing legendary pulse rifles on me since the start, so the only place I've seen anyting even resembling a pattern would be with my exotic primaries. :P But good for you though!
