So glad someone took the time to show the facts about PVP. I don't get the hostility people have against handcannons when they are killed far more often by auto rifles. For some reason people take it personal and get really pissed when they're killed by a Thorn or Last Word.
But this doesn't completely explain Bungie's actions... It's almost as if they're frustrated that we refuse to use the weapons they want us to use in the way they want us to use them.

Edited by Pliskade: 2/24/2015 5:50:22 PMTLW is fine. Thorn is a damn sniper. I usually roll with Thorn just to pick off people who use it as a sniper. Thorns range and burn damage break the gun. I can easily kill scout rifles users and mediocre snipers with two shots. This is the issue with Thorn, it is better at medium to long range than most other weapons hands down. True, a sniper is a one hit kill with head shot, and a two hit body shot kill at long range, but this is the weapons function. If you inspect me, you will see my KD is probably tragic right now. Moved and the ISP we currently have is crap. Wasn't a great player before hand but my not as bad as the last three weeks will make me look. But even before I moved I could easily have a 2.5+ KDR just by rolling Thorn and picking people off from medium to long range. With out Thorn I rarely break 2.0. I think Thorn needs a range nerf. That would balance it out. Or Bungie could keep Thorn as the long range hand cannon of choice and reduce fire rate. Looking forward to testing the changes in the patch.

It's because thorn is a cowards weapon now. I used ghorn way before the buff. All other hand cannons I'm fine with.

Edited by GMRcris: 2/24/2015 4:17:54 PMLol I'll be honest I rarely die to anything but hand cannons, back in the day when auto rifles were king sure I'd die to them, but now? Lol pretty much only die to hand cannons, almost no top tier player uses auto rifles cause they just can't compete with hand cannons anymore.

This is what I feel is the problem. It seems most "fixes" are Bungie telling us how to enjoy the game we paid money for, rather than let us decide how to enjoy the game.
