Final Fantasy VII is terrible
Why are people constantly hoping that Final Fantasy VII will one day be remade?? The whole love story between Cloud and Aerith is awful, Sephiroth is a terrible villain and all of the other characters are garbage. That game was terrible back in 1997 and it always will be terrible.

I actually enjoyed replaying it about a year ago, just like an old Disney movie there were all these naughty jokes that went straight over my head before. If you don't like FF7 I don't like you.

If it wasn't for that game I wouldn't have ever gotten ehrgeiz. Man I loved that game. Idk if it's considered good, but the adventure mode was so dope back in the day. As for ff7, I really liked it. I wouldn't replay it though. Those games aren't my cup of tea anymore. Unless it turned into an action adventure rpg with real time combat I wouldn't play it.

It's the nostalgia effect... For me, it was the first Final Fantasy that I played completely through (with the help of my older brother). Whether it's good or bad, it's irrelevant.

I disagree with you, 7 was revolutionary story telling for its time. However I will agree that it's aged horribly and even though I put in 100 hours plus in the original, I wouldn't be able to play it for 15 min now, attention spans have shortened since then lol

I like it because of the story and cloud's change and the villain was pretty cool it made question if in real life they can manage to hold a sword like that. I respect your opinion.

5 Replies6 kind of turned me away from the series (it was even more grindy than 4). I bought 7, but never got all that far into it. Having taken away the open world / exploration aspects of the game, I turned to Fallout and never really got back into JRPGs after that. Honestly, 15 looks more like a sandbox game and might be the first FF game I get into since the PSP release of 4 & the after years.

It was such a fun game. You're entitled to your opinion, be it real or not, but if all you got out of it was an optional romance which wasn't even canon, then you missed the point.

[spoiler]Careful, you might cut yourself on that edge.[/spoiler] Also, while I myself was unable to get into it (I quit after about 7 hours), I can see how people find it to be a great game. Hell, I though Sephiroth was awesome, and I loved every moment he was on screen.
