Offensive Clan Names
Dear Bungie Administrators and Moderators,
At this time there is no in-game way to bring to your attention the offensive clan names which some folks have set up.
Clan names with titles like theRapistCrew, -blam!- Group, and Rapists, currently exist.....and you have not provided a way to report these and other foul names for removal.

13 RepliesThanks for the feedback! While I can't guarantee any changes, I am going to forward the issue along. If you do come across any offensive clan names, please alert one of our volunteer ninjas or mentors. If you see an offensive clan name in the game, their name will be the same on Bungie.net, so you can grab their group URL here on the site when you send it to one of the ninjas or mentors.

I think everyone should be able to play this game without being subjected to offensive, racist, homophobic or discriminatory Clan names. The fact that Bungie offers no clear way to report such ignorant behaviour shows a deep lack of respect for its community. Especially as the first line of the "Bungie.Net Code of Conduct" is: 1) Treat everyone with respect.

I have to agree that the clan names are offensive and there are some truly bad clan names. I hope that this becomes a deal where we can be able to report to the mentors/ninjas or even Bungie directly (only if it is really an important offense or issue would I do this.)

This game is a "T" rated game. The clan names should fall into a "T" rated game category

I agree that this issue should be seen and dealt with properly by Bungie. Its fine to have fun and make a funny name clan name with friends but kids do play these games and "rapists" and some other words are no joke. Some people may have been through these things and wish to forget them.

I agree, I let my kids play this game and it bothers me when my son asks me what a six dick donkey punch is.
