Why is pre-ordering bad? Because IMHO, it sets a dangerous precedent.

Short and to the point. I like it. The precedent, I assume, is buying something before it's proven to be worth the purchase price. I can't argue with that. lol I suppose that is a bad thing. :) I guess I don't think it does any harm though.
