It isn't selective, it's the truth. The bible is not arranged in the same way as the Quran. Jesus arrived to correct the Old Testament's protrayal of God and to tell us all to love our neighbors. The latter is common knowledge and it does not take a genius to see that Christians who perform acts of violence are not aligning themselves with Jesus' teachings.
