Why do people like Anime so much? Is it the animation or something?

Differs, I like the storylines mostly, sometimes it's the characters personality they'd make me laugh or smile and it keeps me watching. Some are even sexually attracted to them but I think that's a minority, I'd hope.

But the stories aren't really that different from non-anime shows (At least in my experience)
