So I was just telling a couple co-workers a story about my first time beating Crota back when the DLC first came out, about this saying that I now use on a daily basis and how this saying came about. So the very first fire team that I beat the Normal Crota's End raid consisted of a handful of 30s at the start of the raid, by the time we got to the end there was one 31 who was pretty much leading the fire team. Once we got to Crota, we were pretty much learning as we went, at that point in time there was no left side strategy. We did everything from that middle hallway under the crystal room; downed Crota, killed ogres, so on and so forth. So the fire team has pretty much been making attempts for hours, slowly perfecting our flawed strategy. By the time we had the strategy down it was extremely late and we were tired and we started to get a bit sloppy and just couldn't execute. We get to the part when ogres come out and this happens. [b]Side Note:[/b] The entire raid, these two had been bumping heads and it was only getting worse as time went on but their dialog had me in tears. [b]Fire Team Lead:[/b] WTF are you doing?! Ogres are coming!!! [b]Ammo Guy:[/b] I had to get ammo relax.... Shit. [b]Fire Team: [/b]What, what is it?? [b]Ammo Guy:[/b] The ogre's right here.... -We all run out to help him kill the ogre. [b]Fire Team Lead:[/b] WHY THE F**K ARE YOU PUNCHING THE OGRE?!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?!!! -Ammo Guy just gets destroyed by the ogre. The Oversoul spawns, we start shooting it and here comes the second one, f**king sh*t up. We wipe. [b]Ammo Guy:[/b] I wasn't punching ogres, I was using a shotgun... [b]Fire Team Lead:[/b] WTF ARE YOU EVEN USING A SHOTGUN FOR?! IT'S USELESS!!! [b]Ammo Guy:[/b] Hey I can play my game the way I want to play, okay. [b]Fire Team Lead:[/b] YEAH, NOT WHEN WE'RE DOING A F**KING RAID!!!... -Everyone's pissed but laughing hysterically. These two have been bumping heads the entire raid but that took the f**king cake. We all respawn in the crystal room and... [b]Fire Team Lead:[/b] Alright guys we were so close man we just have to stop making idiotic mistakes. Let's start this up again... We all know what to do. Just [b]don't go punching ogres[/b]. And that's where the phrase was born. [b]Don't Go Punching Ogres:[/b][i] Don't go doing dumb sh*t[/i]. My Co-workers (who have never played Destiny but always hear me and another guy talk about it) were in tears and she says "All I can think about when you say that is that TLC song." as she sings [i][b]"Don't go punching ogres yal Use the rockets and the snipers like you supposed to I know that you wanna play it your way or no way at all But I think your dying too fast..."[/b][/i] Edit: By Sydney & Carly (my Co-Workers) wanted Credit for their rendition..
