  • The issue isn't random numbers. It truly isn't. If it was truly random, you wouldn't have the same gear showing up time after time after time, while other gear is completely excluded. It is NOT a matter of the RNG. If the pieces that show up in Xur's inventory are random, then Bungie has put certain constraints on the availability of those pieces (i.e. Starfire Protocol has a 6% chance to show, while Icebreaker has a 12% chance to show). If there's an actual system of randomness in place with Xur's inventory, it is rigged to not give every piece an equal chance of showing, which would thereby negate the term RNG. You guys are so positive that Bungie is playing this fair and equally. I can guarantee you that that is not how their system works and is set up. So again, I'm going to direct my question to Bungie - Will I ever be able to upgrade my Voidfang Vestments?

  • On a side note, since he's got the upgrade or the "new" version both on offer atm, you'd be better off just buying the new one and breaking down the old one. Costs ya 13 instead of 7 sure, but you don't have to kick out a shard and a few k in glimmer as well. Just the coins. Then when ya break down the old one, you GAIN a shard and a wee bit of cash too. The "upgrade" thing is utter horsesh*t and they know it, hence the change to follow the next dlc. Save the resources. :)
