I was so happy when I finished the BF4 campaign. I only did it to unlock the P90 and the MG Irish uses in the multiplayer (thank Kyra they are solid guns online). You'd think the Battlefield singleplayer would be a destruction heavy vehicle bonanza, with wide open maps and a play-it-your-way attitude. Instead it's one of the most linear and dull single player experiences you can get, filled with laughably bad "press x to win" cinematic moments an fleshed out with two dipshit A.I. comrades who grate on you the entire game (even killing them at the end isn't satisfying). Battlefield Hardline here I come...
http://rlv.zcache.co.uk/crying_seal_meme_cough_your_lungs_out_tile-ra35ac51e3d34496b930fb7ab77a773f4_agtk1_8byvr_324.jpg
• I absolutely hated the bf4 campaign - FAR too many bugs, from just plain invincible enemies to AI walking off map, if it was anyone other than dice/EA I'd have been surprised it made it past the bloody beta. The absolute kick in the teeth was when I went to go back and play some of the missions against try find the dogtags I missed first time and to get the other endings for the other gun unlocks I'd found the game had wiped my save for no reason (this was around a year after launch I think) - after checking the forums I found it was a rather common problem and they'd done literally nothing to fix it for a whole year... Still haven't been bothered to play through the terrible campaign with AI companions almost as bad as sheva from resi 5 purely because I just don't want to play a game that broke when it's probably going to wipe my save again anyway

 • Nothing about the single player actually flows well. Everything is scripted and if your not in the right place at the right time then the game pretty much falls flat on its face, all the A.I. just stand around looking lost and your reminded that no one put any effort into this. Not one of the firefights felt satisfying in any way and the destruction is non-existent. Honestly, take the heist scene from the start of the Dark Knight, and if the Hardline campaign doesn't feel anything like that then just cut it from the game and leave the testing range in for all the poor sods installing the 50gb first day patch.
