Bungie [b][u]never[/u][/b] confirmed there were other chests. Not even once.
You have been trolled, and pretty badly.
Several months ago someone posted on reddit claiming to be an "anonymous bungie employee". Trolls do things like this.
Anyway, it spread like wild fire.
Until someone actually attempted the perfect raid and got nothing more than anyone else.
So don't waste your time.

Oh you didn't hear the full rumor then. The troll said you needed to have a flawless raid, from start to finish. This meant: *No praetorin takes a sync plate *No Vex sacrifice to conflux *No one gets marked by an oracle *Templar does not teleport *No one dies, ever *And the supposed "extra chests" would spawn in the jumping platform area AFTER defeating gatekeeper, meaning one person has to stay in that room to ensure door stays open for all 6 people to come back through sprinting before atheon begins teleporting people. This has been done. And nothing happened.
