I think it takes 3 days for money you transfer from your bank to show in paypal.

Now i use paypal and have never had that happen

The problem must be with your bank account Its not on paypals side

Well if your account is linked and verified. I'm not sure what else to do. I'll say try paypal help. And if that doesnt work call your bank and find out. There may be some delay in the money showing up for use on your account .

They said the computers were slow today, but I got my checkings receipt with the balance on it. Should I just wait a couple hours?

Yeah try that. And if you can check online to make sure the money is showing up in your account too
