Yes it does have a range upgrade but it is still not quite great with it

Well the shotgun isn't necessarily meant to be shooting from 15+ feet in games shotguns are weapons that have ridiculous spread and they are supposed to be used when an enemy is low on health and you can get close and finish them off use you primary or heavy weapons to hit them from a range
