For PVE, TFWPKY 1969 has been a reliable beast for me... W field scout and outlaw it has helped many times in hair raising situations when I don't use an exotic primary slot.
Also. FOR THE PEOPLE is the legendary auto rifle you should purchase. There's a great review about it on planetdestiny.com. Check it out.

I have a maxed one (FTP), after I get the New Mon. Vanquisher viii I'll find out for myself which is the preferred weapon.

Thats a must have for me!! Auto rifles are awesome (at least for me) and ive heard nothing but good about that one
