Khvostov Upgrade
Although this is probably never going to happen, I'd be so interested to see the Khvostov (first gun you get in the game) get the same treatment as the Husk of the Pit in the future, maybe with a future patch allowing players who kept the gun from the start to upgrade it into stages with increasing attack output and abilities, how cool would that be?!
Then maybe the final exotic upgrade turns it into a Golden Age (or PRE-Golden Age) auto rifle that looks wicked similar to the ones used by the military today! All the other alien species in the game have Exotics to offer to us, why can't us Earth-Borns have Exotics of our own?

2 RepliesThis is my idea: make the khstov an exotic bounty, to u get it and the gunsmith will give you an exotic bounty for it 1) kill 100 fallen with the khstrov to collect scavenged golden age weapon parts 2) Give them to the gunsmith to get, khstrov restored 3) kill 100 hive with the restored khstrov to obtain abyss crystals 4) Give them to the gunsmith to obtain a refurbished khstrov 5) kill 100 vex with the refurbished khstrov to obtain modern weapon upgrades 6) Give them to the gunsmith to obtain the upgraded khstrov 7) kill Cabal with the upgraded khstrov to obtain advanced ammo mods 8) Give them to the gunsmith to obtain a specialized khstrov 9) kill the black guardians heart to obtain an legendary upgrade 10) Give that to the gunsmith to obtain a golden age relic You can see the bounty is meant to follow you through the game and cause an attachment to the weapon Now each khstrov version has an upgrade from the last, let me explain: Restored khstrov(still common) it's the same weapon but more damage and the scope isn't cracked, everything is cleaner and less worn Refurbished khstrov(uncommon) has some random upgrades but the same scope no matter what,it has a green glowing crystal under the barrell Upgraded khstrov(rare) random upgrades and no scope change, the weapon has some brownish vex colored parts Specialized khstrov(still rare) random upgrades, no scope change, the weapon has a black paint job and a bigger stronger stock A golden age relic(legendary) has crowd control and "special rounds" with track and mark targets

1 ReplyQuick fix for people grinding the Khostov Exotic version if it appears Make it so it's an exotic bounty, plus make it so there is a randomized weapon at the start of the game, and Khostov is one of them but very rare.

They also should do something with the Stranger's Rifle...yet they always fail at making a good pulse rifle. Common bungie what are you afraid of?

I dig the idea but like others have said it would be easy to exploit. If they could find a way to make exploiting it difficult (lol yeah right) then I think it would be super awesome

1 ReplyI'd be afraid of how they made it look. It's broken out lens is it's trademark, so if it's upgraded I hope it retains some of that vintage/antique charm.
