Trading will never happen for a few reasons. 1. It would promote those awful farmers into the game and they inevitably crash the in game economy. 2. It would take the already low amount of content and cut it in half. If there is no more carrot (Gjallarhorn,Hawkmoon,Suros, etc) who the hell is gonna put up with the stick (shitty rng, worst player gets best drops, gated at every turn game structure)?

Carrot on a stick. That Destiny in a nutshell. For some more, for some less. Tbh if there wouldnt be the group of ppl Iam playing with, the carrot stick only would never be enough making me play Destiny as much as I play it now. Iam fine with that gameplay system, but I would MOSTLY welcome a Crucible matchamaker and reward system overhaul.

I'm just here to say I disagree with both your statements but do not care to elaborate on all of it. I'm one of the few players playing Destiny becuase I find it fun and do not need a "carrot" to enjoy this game. I've gone this entire time not caring what I get for reward but rather that I get rewarded for the activites that are supposed to test our skill. Even outside of those I'd still do the bounties and the planet sides stuff for fun. What Destiny has given people is a new form of gambling. People are becoming addicted to the gambling aspect of the rewards rather then the activites to award them.

All the missions, strikes, and raids were a blast the first few times. However after so many runs it gets stale so the rewards are the only thing to look forward to.

Now I'm going to steal a line from the show Corner Gas. "Did that sound dumb to you when you said it?" If the core of a game is no longer fun, in this case Destiny, then you should stop playing. Do not get me wrong, I'm not telling you to get out but rather if that has happen then you will never enjoy Destiny ever again unless it's changed completely. At this point a lot of players are just addicted to the weekly gambling. If they offered more chances you know what would happen? I bet the amount of time played currently by players would double but do you know why? Because the players just want to crank that arm on the slots machine and keep cranking it until it gives them what they want, then what? You either keep playing because your now addicted to that feeling that something awesome might be rewarded (regardless of what that reward might be at this point) or you'll stop playing as you have gotten what you wanted.

You said it... Destiny is a brilliant casino.

Bingo.
