Super Good Advice & Pocket Infinity Bounties
Has anyone experienced an issue where you can never acquire these two bounties? I have received numerous bounty quests, but they are ALWAYS:
A Light In The Dark
Toland's Legacy
A Dubious Task
Is this common? I have been getting at least two quests a week and never received the other two. Anyone else with this issue?

It seems like a few of you guys are in the same or similar boat, but yet, several are not having any difficulties. It could be for many reasons though, such as having an exotic bounty waiting to be completed in inventory (thank you for the suggestion FromNowOn!)
Some suggestions were to keep them in the inventory and, perhaps, you'll increase the chance of other bounties dropping for you that are needed. (thank you for the suggestion FromNowOn!)
It would be nice if Bungie could confirm this method or give us some insight into the situation.

Edited by Lost Sols: 4/3/2015 5:58:40 PMWent a dozen bounties with those same 3. Only way I finally got PI and SGA was to level my lock and it gets those bounties each time. Edit: I honestly think there's a bug that locks in what particular bounties a character can get. I also think it's the same for shaders dropping. They drop for my Lock, but never for my Titans (and one Titan is way higher leveled in everything).

I got them both once. Picked Pocket Infinity because I was running out of vault space. I don't regret my choice, but I wish that I could get Super Good Advice, too. I've gotten roughly fifteen mentor missives, and all but one of those times it's been Invective, Thorn, and Bad Juju.

12 bounty quests so far. Not one of them being either of those 2. I even had an exotic bounty come on my hunter that has all 3 of them active right now, and it was just blank for which one I wanted to pick. They forever elude me...

Not really. I got SGA, three times last week and twice the week before. I do it for the shard usually. I haven't played much this week burning it two yesterday. Neither were SGA. I don't know if pocket infinity was in either since SGA was the only one I'd consider doing at This stage. I think it goes in cycles. Early on I got the bad ju ju one, passed on it then got all the others before they offered me bad ju ju again. Several times I only had two options. So I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason.

7 RepliesYou know, I have a theory What if they are behavioral to different types of bounties? The "common" set is called vanguard mentor missive. What if that set only reacts to the vanguard bounties? And the "rare" set only spawns to completing crucible bounties. Hmm? Hmmmm???

1 ReplyI believe they are rng'ed and you get one after hitting a certain amount of exp. From any bounties, I get them atleast twice a week, although i think the roll for pocket and sga is less than the other 3. Personally i wanna know where my fate of all fools bounty is.

Mate I've got the opposite problem, had those bounty none and instead got pocket and sga and juju 4 times having to dismantle sga once

Whenever I or any of my friends get a vanguard missive from ERIS it 90% of the time includes a voice in the wilderness shattered memory fragment and a light in the dark so do your eris bounties a lot

I got all the bounty weapons before TDB dropped. Since then I've redone the common 3 but had to upgrade the other guns (Ex PI) as I just couldn't get the bounties to drop

16 RepliesWell there are two sets: Set 1 (Common): -Thorn -Invective -Bad Juju Set 2 (Rare): -Super Good Advice -Pocket Infinity -Bad Juju The second set has a less chance of appearing. The Reason? I don't know....Bungie!!!

I am currently running both those bounties, I already have thorn and bad juju, and I am waiting for invective to pop up

The only times I have gotten the pocket or SGA bounties etc were when it was the first on my character. My first ever on my hunter was pocket and then I completed all except SGA and I turned in a bounty on my Titan and got SGA. I have 3 bounties in progress on my hunter (all repeats just doing them for fun) so that my have changed it a bit.

I recently got 2 SGA bounties, I think they're the easiest exotic weapon bounty, find a chest on Mars, buy some machine gun module from Xur for 1 coin, kill 500 enemies with machine gun, and you're done. 2 instant shards, now to upgrade my MIDA.

I consistently always got the bounties for bad juju, invective and thorn. One night I finally got the bounties for Pocket infinity and sga. Literally I turned in bounties on my main, Got the choice for both, and likewise on my other characters in a time frame of 30 minutes. This game is weird. Lol

I just got super good advice for the first time a month ago. Had those three together maybe a dozen times.

Far I know, it's your choice of three bounties ("A Light in the Dark", "Toland's Legacy", and "A Dubious Task" or "Shattered Memory Fragments", "A Voice in the Wilderness", and "Toland's Legacy") that cycle after you complete any three- you could just do the same one three times, for example, and it'll still cycle to the other three options.

Have gotten the thorn, juju and invective bounties every time for the past month. About 15 different missives. I have already done all 5 bounties multiple times and sharded the extras.

Edited by Blix: 3/28/2015 11:31:31 PMI have done Invective 3 times, Bad Juju 3 times and doing a third Thorn Bounty now. I finally got the Pocket Infinity bounty around new year and i have yet to see SGA. I now delete the mentor missives if i dont need the shard. Day 1 player as well.
