2 RepliesI put yes..but i'm so torn. I think it's good that everyone understands all aspects of the fight but at the same time..we wiped 5 or 6 times because of the random teleport last night. It wasn't until I got teleported 3 times (beat him on 3rd dps phase) that we downed him. Prior to patch I always ran the relic. So it was frustrating because it's not THAT hard ( on normal - hard mode is different those adds are DANGEROUS!!!) So it was frustrating that we kept wiping over it but whatever - Everyone needs to understand the mechanics.

Most of the problem is not that people aren't taught or can't do it. Some people just aren't good at surviving with the relic.

Would have preferred they fix the bugs before inputting the random teleportation.

A successful run can be brought to a standstill because you're showing noobs the ropes when suddenly they all get teleported and wipe. No idea what Bungie was thinking.

3 RepliesBungie should add more RNG events to the raid. 5% chance of teleporting the Templar into aetheon battle instead of supplicant, 25% chance to randomly kill a random person when some one uses a heavy weapon, 50% chance to mark players on the OUTSIDE with Mark of the void. I DEMAND MORE RNG BUNGIE!!!!

i disagree with this change because enow people are expendable, having a good relic user is much less important now, and ironically this fix makes the raid less teamwork orientated.

The fight isn't even hard, and the RNG teleports will only be a mild nuisance. That being said, RNG IS THE LAZIEST AND WORSE WAY TO ADD DIFFICULTY TO A RAID. Throughout the entire raid, you have set tactics and teams (opening the gate splitting off in 2s, assigning sides to confluxes, who goes where) then all of a sudden they decide, LETS MAKE IT RANDOM!! If they wanted everyone to experience the inside, then make players receive a debuff that makes it impossible for them to enter the next portal. OH LOOK YOU SOLVED THE ISSUE OF PEOPLE NOT GOING IN THE PORTAL, AND ALSO ALLOWED RAIDS TO HAVE PRESET TACTICS!!

Random teleports are very lazy in terms of execution and they have caused a lot of unintended(?) issues. I kept count last night and during the Atheon fight, he teleported two or less people into the past or future six times. That's six failures because three people didn't go through. This happened about two times at the most before the patch.

The whole game is random. There's no player control anymore. I was upset enough that all three classes are practically the same. Theres no roll, no jobs. And when we finally had a chance to do so, to be tactical and co-operate... Right out the window.

It throws strategy to the four winds! I mean it's cool Bungie wants to add a flair of surprise, but my god my friends and I were so BLAMED confused after we got the first relic! -_- And please no "Git Gud," comments, we were all prepared to fight Atheon.

Listen- The most difficult content in the game should be the nightfall. It's can be put into, has lots of enemies with lots of health and armor, and increases the damage enemies deal. If you are looking to test your skill as an individual, skilled player, try this. The raid only requires the most amount of strategy. You have to coordinate the actions of six players. If you have a good leader and strong players, then it should be relatively easy. However, this is not the case for most people l, so the raid becomes difficult. The change to atheon does not promote the use of strategy. It adds artificial difficulty to the battle, and is not a positive change.

Instead the development team fell back to their lazy roots and went with a RNG selection mechanism (which probably broke teleporting worse than it was before). However, the main problem is the fact that they ignored legitimate errors in order to push this "patch" through for Aetheon.

2 RepliesThey should let teams choose at least one person to get sucked in so someone who knows what to do with the relic could teach others. Its very hard trying to explain what to do when you're handling your side and guessing at what the people inside are doing.

I think this should've been something for the Hard Raid only, there are people who play the Raid with designated roles pre boss fight and Raids are all about strategy. There is no strategy in random teleporting, only hoping you get lucky and have people who know what they're doing inside the teleporter get teleporter. Too hard for the normal Raid, it's still doable, just tedious and annoying like the rest of this game.
