Today is another "Walking Tall" bounty day.
If you see someone who is idle during the strike, give them a couple of minutes.
If they don't move after that grace period - push them off a cliff or into a mob. Hell, boost them into a wall with your sparrow.
Do not allow this to continue.
I'm grinding strikes right now because, hey, I like strikes and blue engrams. If I see you idle, you are going to die.

3 RepliesAnother thing, there is a player report for inactivity. Just saying

1 ReplyEdited by Dunkinuts: 10/28/2014 11:29:50 AMHad it done to me last night, but I was actually farming strikes for blue engrams lol so had no need to finish the strike, being as it was my 5th or 6th. Took it all the way to the boss and just quit. Edit: It took me 15-20 mins to get to the boss so he sat there in vein :)

I think the answer is get rid of the bounty where you need to not die on a strike. It encourages this behavior.
-
I've gotten "idle" guardians to rage quit because of this. Good times :]
-
If you are playing with a group and you die, leave and come back as it counts as a fresh run.
-
2 RepliesI woukld suggest a boot from fireteam option for idlers... after 1 minute of idling the option pops up for the active members
-
I took care of two groups of idlers last night. They were dancing at spawn. So like many of you i went to the darkness zone and died intentionally. Then i quit and found another group to play with. ..
-
Did the level 8 strike. Once the others died, they just left. That's rude. Finished it all by myself without dying.
-
by the time you pushed them off you could of probably completed the strike
-
Idle people for a whole strike should lose an ascendant shard or energy as penalty
-
OK Mom.
-
I'm all for this. However today I was running the earth strike on level 8 for the don't die while doing a strike bounty, and I had a couple of randos trying to kill me with their sparrow the entire time. I'm almost positive they knew I had that bounty and wanted to spoil it for me. The strike took twice as long as it should have but I persevered and walked out of there with my complete bounty. -blam!- those guys.
-
Bit harsh killing fellow guardians a gentle nudge maybe.
-
I had to do 25 strikes for my exotic bounty this weekend, and we had a few people sitting in little spots that you couldn't 'push them off a cliff, or lead the enemies to them' pain in the ass...do not understand!
-
When I went AFK in strikes I usually looked for place where no one could do that.
-
Don't forget to report them first!!!
-
Edited by prodygee: 10/28/2014 8:21:57 AMI already do this haha. Boost against them with your sparrow if possible. They fly away into the vast nothingness of space. (pendulum)
-
yeah man i hate it when people join strikes then they leach
-
I've done this... I laughed.
-
Can I join ur idle death squad ??
-
yeah, you are totally right. i hate it when someone is just standing around and does nothing in PVE and PVP. next time i'm gonna try this!
-
i enjoy squashing them against a wall with my sparrow :)

4 RepliesEdited by SGT 12XU: 10/28/2014 12:11:55 PMYep. Had a guy idle on me the other night for the Vanguard Tiger Summoning Pits. Myself and the other guy ran around with our hair on fire to beat it (using alt 26 character). I thought the third guy left, but he didn't. He just idled and picked up loot at the end when we killed the boss. Bastard. Edit: his GT was WholemealWings9

1 ReplyI agree. Ran 3 strikes today in a row with the same group. Same guy was AFK all 3 times. Reported and blacklisted. This shit is getting old.
-
5 RepliesI dont see why you would want to cheat that bounty, combined it with the 100 kills without dying bounty and its probably the most fun you'll have doing a standard strike now because dying actually means you -blam!-ed up and need to try harder.
-
3 Replies-blam!-in assholes, they should get Ebola. Another feature in EVERY other MMO that Bungie left out....the ability to vote and kick someone from the group...
