I need a bit of advice. I am rank 3 in Dead Orbit and 12 crucible marks away from getting the Unwilling Soul-09 but it seems that everyone prefers Vanquisher, Shadow Price or Doctor Nope. Why is that? What are the differences?

11 RepliesStability and impact are just too important imo. Low rate of fire rifles tend to hit hard and stagger opponents you need staggered. I have a dropped Vanq8 with reload perks (kill + precision kill) and combined with near max stability it's served me very well. My precision accuracy skyrocketed, giving me great overall damage per magazine. Even at 22 rounds I can drop several general mobs before reload, which is FAST. I missed out on the first Regime so I picked one up last night. It'll be my new baby. For personal comparison I also have 2 dropped Doctors and they're now rotting in the bank. Maybe if they dropped with stability perks I'd consider carrying one.

Super fast shooting Auto Rifles are complete garbage minus Atheons Epilogue and that's only because it does Void damage.

1 ReplyGo with anything other than Unwilling Soul. I received it for leveling up Dead Orbit rep and stuck with it because it looks awesome. I eventually went back to Galahad-E until I got the Suros Regime. The ROF coupled with crap stability and super-low impact makes for a frustrating weapon.

Edited by ArchieL27: 10/27/2014 2:27:43 AMGot SP with the Field Scout buff - 42 round mag = Godly. Finally a no compromise backup for Suros. Edit: I have Field Scout on two other guns - an Epitaph sniper that goes from 4 to 6 shots and Aries Nemesis Scouty that goes from a paltry 12 shots to an inexhaustible 27. Field Scout turns good guns into great guns.

1 ReplySo I'm gonna thread jack a bit here. How do you guys like Atheons Epiloge? I have it, but with its low impact it's not taking down enemies the way i need it to in pve. Does it get better when fully upgraded?
-
I feel like the cydonia clones (shadow price, v8, grim citizen) are second to none in pvp. Personally I go shadow price just because I rolled a range, stability, and reload speed set of perks. Can't complain about that (though my top favourite perk is the bonus damage after killing a target. It's a monster damage buff too. Chain kills galore)

1 Replydoes it matter which gun you get? ive seen you play. you just run and punch. you dont need a gun
-
I used the shadow price until I got the vanq8. Vanq8 I like better unless im hawkmoonin fools. Lol
-
2 Repliesi have a grim citizen , shadow price , and the suros . i think either one of theses guns are at the top of the list . they have good impact , fire rate , andt stability .
-
5 RepliesVanquisher is like the Galahad-E. This is the best gun in the game that you can buy from a faction as it not only has glass half full, but perfect balance as well. Vanquisher is much easier to land headshots and kills much much faster than the high rate of fire guns. Do NOT use those Sahara clones in pvp. Trust me..

1 Replyunwilling soul is in a group of auto rifles that have really low impact, but maximum fire rate, with a big magazine size. They also have really poor stability. They can be fixed with the stability perk, but the unwilling soul from the vendor does not have the stabilty perk if i can remember rightly. There is one available with the perk, but its from a drop, not the vendor. doctor nope is better from vendor because it does come with the stability perk. The shadow price has a small mag, only downside, its 25... but its an all rounder, same as the vanquisher. for low level strikes, the high recoil, big magazine low impact autos are fine, but at higher levels, the all rounders such as vanquisher and shadow price are alot more effective

I have both Suros Regime and Shadow Price and I actually prefer my Shadow Price if that says anything.
-
Grim Citizen was my AR of choice. Just picked up Suros so using that currently but Grim was great. Good stability, good rate of fire and best impact to magazine size ratio I found.
-
8 RepliesUnwilling soul is just awful and ugly, I've had 2 now (one bought and one dropped) the dropped one had the active radar perk thingy so that's the only reason I use it.
-
1 ReplyI have atheons épilogue. It's great.
-
1 ReplyIs unwilling soul any good?
-
1 Replyvanquisher and shadow price have really high stability they are almost the same gun. vanquisher has 3 less rounds but has more range. it's my favorite legendary auto rifle
-
dead orbits AR is awful just like the doctor nope
-
1 ReplyEdited by Unholyconfesns: 10/25/2014 1:05:24 PMUnwilling soul absolutely terrible get vanquished or shadow price without a doubt or just say screw all them and run a scout rifle vision of confluence or mida multi tool are beast since the path
-
Grim citizen = Best auto rifle
-
1 ReplyJust get shadow price and suros, so if ur using legen primary den u can use exotic special. Shadow price ice breaker combo, or suros fusion or shotgun or snip.
-
15 RepliesDepends on what you want in a AR. Close range doctor nope or any ither fast firw rate is good. But if you want a bit better range and accuracy... vanq is the best. My shadow price is worthless now that I bought vanq
-
3 RepliesShadow price all the way.....but Atheons Epilogue is way better
-
I have shadow price, suros, and recently just got doctor nope. Shadow price (vendor version) is a well rounded gun but really has nothing special going for it. I love my doctor nope, also from the vendor. Takes a bit of practice to handle the recoil, but it's awesome with perfect balance. I have no problem with it and it's fun to use.

8 RepliesEdited by qnCee: 10/24/2014 9:05:23 PMThank you guys for all the responses. I think I'll have to go with Shadow Price since I am rank 2 there. I really don't want to start over with New Monarchy, that's a lot of hardwork and I am a lazy git haha. Cheers! Edit: I might change my mind and work for the Vanquisher though. Lol haha.

Doctor Nope
