- NAT is open - all recommended ports are forwarded - UPnP is enabled - DMZ is enabled - routers firewall is disabled - switched from WiFi to cable - tried another (better and newer) router - made some connection checks (packet loss: 0 %) - reinstalled the game - made a hard reset on both of my routers - disconnected every other online device - contacted my ISP to look into these things - downloadrate ~18mbs - uploadrate ~1mbs .. and still bees everywhere. Not sure if if's my bandwith that's causing this, because Destiny uses compared to other games extreme much as far as I read. If that's the cause thank's for writing THIS in the games discription, Bungie. My connection is fast enough to play any MMORPG (even when there is one of this huge city raids is going on) and Battlefield 4 with.. a few people more then 12 in it..

  • Did you try disabling your router's firewall?

  • Yeah.. one of the first things I did was disabling my routers firewall because I was thinking it might be interfering in some way. Right now I have someone from this forum looking into all those things with a lot of tools I've never heard of before :D He doesn't suspect packet loss to be the reason for my bee problem. He mentioned the way my isp directs my internet signal to Bungie.net (=Destiny servers?) is.. weird.. and now he suspects gateway timeouts :-/ So.. I don't know. If he is right there is nothing I can do about it I guess.. :( I still wonder why this only affects a few game modes instead of the whole game..

  • I think I am getting the same problems as you, I can run any other game fine with no issues. I have tried my Firewall/UPnP/Forward Ports etc. Could you let me know if you find anything? As I am getting very irritated with not being able to stay in PVP

  • Sure thing. I've just put this thread in my favorites so I wont forget. Hopefully my new helper will find out something about this problem. If he does I'll let you know. Or maybe I'll ask him to post his result on this forum, because.. you know.. he should take credit for it, if he finds out what's going on with all those bees in Destiny :) But one way or another I will inform you if there is any result or even a solution.

  • Hey if it helps at all, there's a playlist where you only play 3v3, and I played with two of my friends I can can connect to. I had no issues staying in the game from start to end as you have minima people to connect to. Apart from that I have found no solutions apart from waiting for Bungie to fix the servers

  • Thankyou very much! It has been bugging me for the past 4/5 days, I have managed to get to Level 24 as my connection is abit more stable playing with Friends on the story. But now my faction rank is 2, I want the legendary amour, but can't obtain the crucible marks as I always get kicked. And after reading through yours it seems you have tried all I can too. I'm no tech expert either, so I'm hoping something is found I didn't know off. Thankyou very much in advance!

  • I don't know either, truthfully. It could be that Bungie is setting limits or scaling the networking in some way based on certain game modes. The story mode requires as many connections as possible due to the open nature of public spaces. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how many people may join and you can come and go as you please. At least Bungie has never really publicly revealed any numbers. Crucible matches and Strike has set numbers of players in these modes, so they could be doing something different.

  • Maybe :-/ I just hope sooner or later at least someone finds out what's causing this problem by a lot of people. Even if it's not fixable.. it would at least be nice to know if we can expect to play all of this games content someday or not.. The most confusing part of all this is for me that I have never encountert a similar problem. Most of the time crucible matches work fine, there is no lag or something like this. I mean.. everything runs smoothly, people are still fighting each other and my character also uses his ability without any delay.. but then.. from one second to the other I'm back in orbit. That's what's confusing me the most. This game can work, but after a short time it just decides to stop doing so :(

  • I'd be interested to know what your friend finds out as well. I got off to a rough start, but in the past 2 days things seem to have settled down for me. Whereas I needed to disable my firewall last week, I just played for an hour straight today with my firewall enabled without any problems. I'm guessing this means that Bungie is working behind the scenes and making changes on their end.
