Got Swords?
Anyone else excited that swords are included in the game? Now we know it's in campaign; will it come to multiplayer in coming DLCs?

I wish they'd add swords ad heavy weapons! They'd get charges from ammo packs, and would be useless when used up, or something!

I believe swords could easily fit into PvP and PvE. It would be just like using a shot gun, but in melee format. Besides, all the special weapons already one shot kill, why not have a awesome sword that does the same, plus, in the case of ammo, the sword's ammo is durability. Every swing takes an ammo. After that, it becomes shattered until you pick up more ammo. Simple.

3 RepliesAlright imo (and feel free to disagree) the only way I could see this coming to PvP would be to make a game type where the swords in the middle of the map and the only way to "score" would to be getting kills with the sword. But there has to be a twist with the sword like reduced health or they lose health unless their getting kills with it.

Sword is amazing but I don't think they will be primary weapons, just as Skiffs or Interceptors can't replace your Sparrow. Swords would be awesome if they were found in different places on maps/missions and could be used for most of that time period.

I think they will make it a drop in the moon raid in the dlc that comes out and it will be the actual sword of crota

It would be much like the Titan's overcharged ability if it were the Sword of Crota on the moon mission. Only problem is that can it be dangerous, yes, will it be any different from a regular melee, no. Not much use for it other than a pick me up in story mode.
