Being a talented rapper, or being a talented screamer?
And if you think that neither is difficult, which is less easy?
At least attempt to explain why you feel one way or another, unlike JAMEZ Z666 down there...

1 ReplyEdited by Gatsby: 6/9/2014 1:44:09 PMIf you want to be a good rapper with meaning behind your tracks like Kendrick then you have to be quite skilled. He tells stories. Or you can be a rapper like meek mill who basically just shouts into a microphone. PHILADELPHIA, BIKES, MONEY, BITCHES It's probably requires more skill than screamo, screamo vocalists are like meek mill. They just scream into a mic.

3 RepliesThey're both shit so it really doesn't matter.

3 RepliesEdited by Nitron F117: 6/9/2014 1:36:25 PMIf we're only considering lyrical style, I'd say rap is more difficult. If we're talking total skill involved in producing a track, rock is more difficult. Which makes The Bloodhound Gang the greatest recording artists ever.

1 ReplyBoth require different kinds of musical skill. It wouldn't matter if one did take more skill than the other anyway. Music isn't supposed to be a dick waving contest.

2 RepliesRock is more difficult. Actually have to play an instrument. Cant auto tune

1 ReplySpitting can be way more technical, lyrically. You don't hear much rock or metal with multi-syllabic rhymes and flow like some hip-hop has. But it's honestly hard to compare the two. They each require a different type of skill. I can't say which takes more practice as I'm not an emcee or singer for a metal band.

1 ReplyRapping, I think. Screaming, while hard on the vocal chords, isn't as complex as smoothly and quickly knocking out a series of rhymes. It requires less thinking and more physical experience. But it's somewhat like saying, which is harder, bench pressing 600lbs or performing surgery? They both require different skills and both can be achieved eventually if one works at it.
