It's easier in team games, of course.

I'm getting much better about having fun regardless of the end score.
-
Honestly, yes. I want to play competitive opponents and I want to win. I want to outsmart who I am playing. However, I would rather lose a competitive game (100-98 for example), than win a blowout (100-20). Especially in Halo.

-
Depends. More so when I play madden and 2k. With shooters, if I'm with a party playing competitively than yea. But if I'm playing alone I just statwhore and DGAF
-
1 ReplyI use to have fun regardless. Then I played lolreach. My interest in multiplayer gaming will forever be diminished by that piece of shit game.
-
1 ReplyIf My team is getting demolished 9 times out of 10 I'm not having fun. If it's an intense tug of war battle throughout the whole game and I lose it's alright. The more intense the more fun.
-
I would much rather win than lose.
-
depends on the game, game mode, and whats at steak. If I was playing Halo 3 ranked going for a 50 for example then Yes winning really matters to have a fun time. But if I'm playing like Battlefield 4 I could care less if I win or lose the match. As long as I play support I'm good.
-
I'm easily amused so no, not really. As long as I'm not winning or losing by too much
-
Depends on the game. If I don't care about personal performance, then I play to win. If I don't care to win, then I play for personal performance.
-
Edited by Derp: 1/13/2014 7:27:25 AMDepends on the game. If you're playing League of Legends and your team is getting f*cked in the anus, it isn't that fun. But if it's a game like Battlefield, then it really doesn't matter because losing as no consequences DURING the game, unlike League.

As long as Im not being destroyed.
-
Nope. It is nice to win though.

Edited by Mohamei: 1/13/2014 7:21:36 AMOnly if I'm trying to rank up on multiplayer, I usually just hang around with my friends.
-
win or lose I always have fun playing in a battlefield game
-
If im getting destroyed because of lag or my teamates sucking then im probably not having fun
-
Edited by Ad Hoc: 1/12/2014 10:24:43 PMIt depends on if I expect to win or not. I usually don't have a lot of fun losing on Halo. Something like Battlefield, I'll have fun either way. That's not to say I've never enjoyed a Halo game where I lost. I've had plenty of close games that were a blast.
-
no, i dont even win half of the BLOPs 2 games i play but my playstyle allows for endless enjoyment.
-
-
nope. one of my favorite matches on halo 4 was me and my buddies playing on ragnarok, ctf. we were calling out, working as a team, etc. and it was an absolute blast. we lost by 1 flag, but it was neck and neck the whole game
-
No. Assuming it's a team game, I can't really be held responsible for the team's performance. As long as I do well, I'm happy.
-
No, some of the best times I've had with various games involved me getting my ass handed to me, however I do enjoy giving it my all and earning a win most of the time. I just hate playing with someone that uses the "I'm playing for fun" argument as an accuse for not winning then promptly bitch, moan and talk shit after they've lost (especially on fighting games). I'll go all out to get my w and even say gg after I've won and they'll say something like "what a tryhard he's just playing to win, he's not trying to have fun" so, so stupid...
-
1 Replylolno What's winning?
-
nooope! but winning is fun...
-
Nope. I'm fine with losing as long the atmosphere is decent.
-
As long as people PTFO I'll be fine.
