What evidence is there for God(s)

In the Elder Scrolls series? We interact with daedra in the games, but what about the nine/eight divines? The only one I can think of that we actually see do anything is Akatosh, at the end of the main quest in Oblivion, and even then that could conceivably be attributed to a particularly powerful blessing on the Amulet of Kings (which was obviously a very powerful magical artifact regardless). So is there something in the games that I haven't played through or that I'm forgetting about?

    • Irrelevant. Sithis is the only being worthy of worship. None are gods before him.

I think it depends on your definition of existance. The Aedra don't manifest as much because they're dead (some more than others). Akatosh, or whatever variant of him you consider, seems to be the exception, but he's always been the odd one out. -from some dumbass on reddit who cares too much about bad games.

Auriels Bow? Auriels Shield? Eye of Magnus? Staff of Magnus? Heart of Lorkhan? What sort of evidence are you actually after? Interaction?

          • The fact that when you pray to them they actually perform miracles and give you special abilities.

            • There's always the simplest explanation: that the so-called Divines aren't actually gods, but are merely a more advanced lifeform from another plane of oblivion who have occasionally interacted with the inhabitants of Nirn. Being so much more advanced than the Humans, Elves, and other mortals, they would understandably be perceived as deities.

                • Another thing I'd like to add that I find strange is that the Nine Divines... Are actually good. All of the daedra have complex desires that don't typically conform to traditional mortal ideas of good or evil, as you might expect of immensely powerful beings within a diverse pantheon, but the divines are all total goody-goodies. And, for another thing, if there really are these incredibly powerful beings who can control the daedric lords and are so powerful and benevolent, why don't they get off their asses and do something to help out beyond giving people a little magicka boost when they pray to you?

There are shrines to each of the Divines that confer a special blessing upon those who pray at them unique to the purview of the specific Divine the shrine is built to honor.
