25 Pieces of Art Reminiscent of Destiny
For those of you who enjoy imagining and speculating about the world(s) of Destiny, I wanted to point out that there is plenty of awesome artwork out there to spark your imagination.
Amidst the Destiny fervor, I've found a new appreciation for sci-fi art, and I've had a blast hunting what might be considered "mythic science fiction."
Here are 25 pieces that reminded me of Destiny for some reason or another (usually "hopeful and inviting" or "nature ascendant over man"). These are all from deviantart.com, and I've included the links to each page above their associated images.
If you like these, there is much more out there to explore! I just chanced upon these in a couple hours of clicking through deviantart pages, so this is by no means a definitive or comprehensive list of art like Destiny.
Are there any concepts or themes from these images (or others!) that you'd like to see in Destiny? If you come across any art that might inspire your character or other customizable/player-generated content in the game, leave a comment telling us about it!

Damn, this is awesome. I love sci-fi concept art! I highly recommend [url=http://conceptships.blogspot.ca/]Concept Ships[/url] if you like concept art and are a spaceship nut like me. Lots of amazing artists and some are in the gaming and film industry too. Cheers!

Why the hell do I look at these artworks. They make my situation worse. The excitement is so strong it hurts now, if that even makes any sense.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the artists for these pieces were used as reference points for the Bungie concept art.

I'll report back when I'm done, as long as I'm not [i]too[/i] embarrassed of my horrible drawing. Edit: I give up this digital drawing deal. It's too hard... I need a drawing tablet so I'm gonna look those up. Well I guess I'll just take pen to paper since I can at least put a decent picture together like that but it always looks so bad with erasures and everything. I guess I could attempt to draw a picture on paper then try to draw it on the computer afterwards because then at least I would know what I was drawing. /ramble
