Are...you liking everything too?

Yeah I'm liking all the comments too

LIKE ALL THE LIKES

Nope, the like buttons aren't affecting me

I've noticed that the like button is pretty much the equivalent of simply quoting people and spamming up what people had already said. It lets us bump comments with a mouse click. But there are times I'm liking a ton of comments more than the topics. Like Facebook.

  • Facebook is dirty. It makes me think of this: http://kris-wilson.deviantart.com/art/New-74178489 .

  • Likes and polls? What is this? Facebook? Actually, I like the likes and polls.

  • No, and I do not foresee me ever doing so.

The post is good? I like it. The comment is good? I like it.

  • I keep forgetting about the like feature because I never use it. I guess there's not much I like on Bungie.net... also, I don't see the point in it.

  • I'm curious as to the exact effects of liking a post. From observation, it seems to merely bump the respective comment to the top of the thread much like replying to that comment would, but I'm curious as to several specifics in terms of which dominates the other, liking or replying? Personally though, I tend to be more restrained in giving out likes.

    • Now that likes are applicable to comments and replies, I think that I may have to adjust my notifications to not include them. It's flattering to know that someone gave a post of mine a "thumbs up", but since I tend to use my notifications more for "here's something that you may want to respond to" and less of a "here's what happened to your post", I may take the "_____ liked your post" out of my notifications.

      • No, they haven't really affected me. I don't use them, and I sort by oldest first, so other people's likes don't affect me either.

      • I rather like than replying someone's post with "^this".
