Right now there are 71 combat style mods that you have to buy from Ada-1 to get, let's say you're a new player and play everyday and Ada-1 gives you 2 new mods each time that's still 36 days to get every mod and there are some mods that will go away for over 200 days before they show back up. Think this is a slight problem and really should be changed a little bit, something like what they did with the holster mods would be great or a way you can buy them or do bounties for a new mod. We just really need a new way to get the mods that doesn't involve checking in everyday to Ada and seeing if she has a mod you don't have.

I think it will help if Ada and Banshee's inventories refresh each time you complete a mission or something like that. Then you can keep coming back to them at your own pace to get the mods that you need.

2 RepliesEdited by MC 077 Lasombra: 6/7/2022 6:13:38 PMI mean…is anyone surprised? I got friends of mine refuse to play the game because they don’t want to go through the hassle. Not just learning the game but the hassle of equipment. It’s one thing to have a difference in armor and weapons but with the emphasis of Buildcraft, it’s just a slap in the face. Who would spend 100 to get into a game they are intentionally set up to be screwed over in how they start out? ‘Gee I could spend 100 and spend six months building up my gear to be somewhat comparable, if I’m lucky? Sign me up!’ Said no one ever.

It is a bit stupid when they're trying to encourage building into specific traits.

They should all be purchasable or put them into comp wins. I’d rather they be purchasable but Bungie needs to up the glimmer cap some in my opinion and I get if they want them to still be relevantly “earned” but just another avenue to obtain them would be nice.

4 RepliesYeah I’ve run into an issue after not playing for 4 years. The issue is not having the mods to maximize build types because I’ve missed all that content.

This exactly. I have a buddy who just came back to the game and he's seeing all these great builds but can't get a lot of synergy going because he's missing critical mods and it's a giant time gated dance with RNG to get any mods. For real there just needs to be a mod marketplace to just sell them all instead of this crazy system. Also, when are we getting a new combat style mod? I think wells have had their time in the sun and we could use a fresh new option.

I think they should just give them out to every one. There is no point in just locking them behind a time gate.

Super flawed and punishing to new player system. Just embarassing even having to explain that to a new player. "Oh yeah you just have to wait and pray." Ridiculous.

Meh you snooze you lose 👍

Mods should drop in certain areas of the game. Like every strike, lost sector, crucible playlist, public event, or anything should drop a certain mod that you should be able to farm. Would make doing certain things in the game more entertaining knowing that you can drop a mod that you do not currently own.

I legit said this like 3 days ago and nobody batted an eye.

Agree. Mod acquisition from ADA & Banshee is very frustrating. More RNG... :(
