Can't unlink Xbox Account on Bungie Site
I am trying to unlink my old Xbox account I no longer have access to so I can link my new Xbox account, but the old one requires me to input my password for it and even after I do that, I still can't do it as it is locked. I have no way to recover the account as I have tried the horrible Microsoft recovery thing a lot, yet nothing was able to be done. Is there a way someone can help me remove the account? I still have perfect access to my other accounts like my Bungie account so that is why I am trying to fix this. It's not a major deal, but I don't want to be stuck and unable to use my current Xbox account.

1 ReplySorry but no. To remove a account you need to deactivate cross save (with the 90 day cooldown period before you can reactivate) and authenticate all linked accounts. As the authentication system is there for security reasons Bungie will not remove the account for you for any reason. Please do a search for "Cross save issues" on Bungie.net or the Destiny app to bring up a help guide which covers this.

Allo there, In order to unlink an account you need to verify the account. If you don't have access then you'll need to recover said account. If you don't have cross save enabled, what you can do is add a dummy playstation account and unlink your steam account, you'll then be able to link your new Xbox and steam profiles. However you will lose any account emblems that you've unlocked to that Bungie account.
