Was that really necessary? I mean, how was that OP? I have to wait now like 20 seconds? (Bungie removed the timer on the stats, can‘t say how long it really takes) To do what? A 2 second animation. My warlock has like 60 recovery and spam rifts faster than my hunter can dodge. Plus that rift stays like 20 seconds and has more support than a dodge.
I don‘t say nerf titan/warlock abilities, but i don‘t understand why i have to suffer from nerfs, that only was needed in PVP?

Edited by SannsyJ: 3/29/2022 1:20:16 PMahh, i like it when my fellow hunter mains complain about the nerfs, i'll say... i hate it when bungie nerfs hunters, but every other class hates their nerfs as well... we just have to suck it up and deal with it... we aren't bungie, and bungie most likely isn't gonna give a -blam!-, deal with it, life goes on, and life ain't fair, i know this is old. But i still find it funny to read all of these XD. ya'll have some humor.

Bungie just hates hunters. Dodge went from 6 second cooldown... To 12 seconds... To 20+ seconds. Next season it will be 30+ seconds at this rate.

5 RepliesIt's the amount of utility it has in PvE Some examples: - Go invis - Get your melee to go invis - reload everything, and / or your currently used weapon - get a bump in health - get a damage boost to stasis weapons - Blinds enemies - slows enemies - solar splash damage - lightning aftershocks - damage resistance (this is a maybe, not sure if this is true) - extended melee range ways to get it back at an increased rate - The burning edge (middle tree gunslinger) (the same thing that you complained in a comment about warlock regen speed) - Fr0st-ee5 - Combination flow (top tree arcstrider) - Ebb and Flow (middle tree arcstrider) - focused breathing (bottom tree arcstrider special shout-out to the sixth coyote, being the only exotic in the game that grants you a second class ability charge.

1 ReplyTruth is none of the nerfs should of carried over to pve

when you get a large group of entitled people who think because each class has a way of escaping engagements, but want to single out a single dodge because it breaks their line of sight, then we get nerf's. If everyone just played the game and accepted there some imbalances that are easy to live with if we actually approached PvP with some semblance of a strategy, there would be no need for nerfs

53 RepliesLmfao you fuking lie XD warlock rifts take 45secs to over a minute to come off CD. I'm a warlock with no less than 80 recovery in every build I run. Boo hoo you have to wait 20secs and still cry about the fastest CD class ability in the game. Bungie just please make a completely separate game with hunters as the standalone class. Titans and warlocks are fed up with hunter bullshit in this fuking game.

1 ReplyCuz yall were living in easy mode.

Just swap to Titan Shivering Strike does literally the same thing in PvE now with greater evasion range and better directional control on 43 sec cool down
My warlock has like 60 recovery and spam rifts faster than my hunter can dodge.
Uh, no.
Plus that rift stays like 20 seconds and has more support than a dodge.
Dodge doesn't require the User to stand in one place and tank in coming fire like a Rift does. Which is why the ability is so OP in PvP. "Support" from Hunters in PvE doesn't come from healing. Its takes the form of Orb Generation, Debuffs to enemies, and Team survivability in terms of a void Hunter going invisible and reviving downed team mates. If you want to provide support in terms of healing other players, then you either need to play Warlock or Titan. Becasue that is not, and never has been a Hunter's role. As for why the nerfs? Because Hunter dodge has been unbalanced in PVP for years, and Bungie is only now starting to get around to addressing it. In Trials on console you'll see 10 Hunters for every 1 Warlock....and 2 or 3 Hunters for every Titan. Its that ridiculous. But the problem is that Bungie can't...or won't....give PvP its own sandbox. So nerfs to things for PVP usually wind up hurting PVE in someway. Bungie's gotten **better** at avoiding this....but its still a problem. Like I told another Hunter main. The only reason Bungie didn't nerf them even harder is because it would break the class in PVE.

26 RepliesEdited by Demon_XXVII: 12/23/2021 11:55:29 PM14 seconds (at 100 mobility) for Marksman Dodge Base cool down is 29 seconds 18 seconds (100/tier 10 mobility) for Gamblers Dodge Base cool down 38 seconds Also fails to break aim assist & projectile tracking They’ve wrecked the Hunters intrinsic skill & with that, wrecked many of the exotics (dragon shadow suffers greatly)

5 RepliesAgreed that the nerfs should have not carried over to PVE!

Hunters are the best in PvP and the worst in pve . Don't think the issue will ever be balanced properly as the majority of people play there hunter in the crucible. PvP is trash in destiny and always will be because of P2P connection. So makes no sense allowing the worst part of the game to override other parts.

Must be hard actually having a cool down now aye.....the rest of the community out here, our hearts are truly bleeding for hunters dodge right now.

15 RepliesBecause of pvp… Destiny 2 is enslaved to a pvp mode that is so trash.. Fornite, warzone, paladins, apex, Roblox, and halo all have more players… Destiny 2 pvp is terrible

Wait your turn to use your class ability like the rest of the other classes.

3 RepliesDodge nerf feels terrible. Particularly as someone who was already running 100 mobility and everything I could to lower the cooldown, I could "feel" when I should have my dodge, through muscle memory and my internal timer. I didn't have to look at my bars, I could just know when it SHOULD be ready. Now, there's literally nothing I can do to get back to that level, no matter what I invest in. They make these changes so people will build into a spec, and just crap on the people who already did. I can put up with all the other garbage changes, but this just makes me want to play the class less because of how awful it feels.

5 RepliesHunters are mad because they can't have an 11 second dodge that makes their strength stat irrelevant.

10 Replies-Nerfed supers for everyone. -Nerfed Stasis supers and other actually useful abilities for Warlocks/Titans in PvE. -Nerfed Icarus Dash on Warlocks -Nerfed Titan shoulder charge to not one shot kill anymore. Just a few to list off. You Hunters have never experienced nerfs before. Get used to it.

2 RepliesCause pvp cry babys

5 RepliesGrabbrecher You make some valid points and I agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold. PS: I hope all of you have a safe and happy holidays.

As a hunter main i'd say this didn't change much on PVE just run 100 mobility

12 RepliesEdited by Duvain-4: 12/24/2021 12:41:53 AMSee, hunters are often the fall guy for issues in Destiny. Even in pvp the nerf wasn't that needed. Just the latest in a string of nerfs to the hunters so ensure we don't have an equal place with Warlocks and Titans in pve. Warlocks can burst damage, but mostly they are ad clear and Well of radiance for dps times(very handy thing to have around) Titans are the damage kings of pve in every way and have no challenger(i mean the word titan does imply power) Then theres Hunters, hunters uh... go invis or um... maybe a 1 shot golden gun that does terrible damage.(idk where the hunters place in pve is really right now.) Apparently they did a poll back when shadowkeep launched and it came out that of the people and like 60% were titans or something. With that being the lens you view the one sided nerfs it makes sense. More titan voices=more hunter nerfs lol.

10 RepliesPvP is why we can’t have nice things.

Warlock rift got nerfed pretty hard aswell. WoR is fine when you get the blessings buff but any other subclass is remarkably slower now.

6 RepliesThere was no need to any of the changes aside of dealing with issues re shatterdive. I feel like Bungo just went overboard like always
