The complete inability to stunlock an overload champion is disgusting. If you're going to give us enemies like this, at the very least you could let them work properly. If we're good enough to get into a situation where we can stunlock a champion, let us.
Because otherwise, your complete inability to craft actual difficulty is showing.
Cutting off someone's legs and telling them to run isn't "difficulty", especially when you punish them for learning to balance on their stubs.

Edit: I shouldn't be surprised, but I have to be honest. It is utterly amazing how every single one of you missed the point of this post entirely
Destiny Forum users are a different breed of stupid
So let me explain this as clear as I can for you smoothbrains out there
When you stun an Overload Champion, they stop moving, and are weakened.
After a moment, they get back up and move again.
Naturally, you would just stun them again, BUT WAIT, BAD GAME DESIGN!
for roughly 5 seconds, give or take, there is a period where after recovering from being stunned, the champion cannot be stunned again. (This happens with Unstoppable Champions as well, though less consistently.)
Whether it's shitty programming, or done so intentionally, this is bad
I can't believe I had to explain this to you people with how many of you seem to be recommending me a loadout I've been using since the start of the season, popular partially for the reason it helps get around THIS EXACT ISSUE
They should definitely increase the time they are stunned
-
6 RepliesI just want them to fix Overload Captains so they stop teleporting like an anime character who just drank their body weight in Red Bull.
-
4 RepliesIt's funny. You edit just proves everyone else right. You're complaining cause you're bad. You're not meant to stunlock them. You can see when they can get stunned again by using your eyes. The brief immunity to stun is a mechanic. Get good.

15 RepliesEdited by Sweet Lew 88: 5/2/2021 12:27:42 AMAre you using grenades? They work pretty good for me. I can easily solo them in the lost sectors. Swords work good too.
-
Uhhhh what are you using because you can 100% stunlock overloads. I do it all the time in GMs.
-
3 RepliesWhy do people struggle with champions? Maybe this game isn't for you if you find it that tricky to stun a target.
-
7 RepliesYup, they are severely broken: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZgmIvuuxkY

I stopped trying to stun them with smgs or swords. Bows are the only consistent way this season. As for the stun length? Yea it’s pretty ridiculous that they un-stun themselves almost immediately. Needs a fix.

Edited by Orpheus Kell of Oracles: 5/3/2021 7:17:47 PMI think it’s intentional, they want players to plan for high burst dps and focusing coordinated attacks. With the proper loadouts and teammates I don’t have a problem dealing with them unless it’s a GM NF then I get nervous.

3 RepliesThe only problem with champions is that Bungie refuses to let you use the champion mods with the weapons you like to use. They for some reason feel the need to pick your options for you. If you could use the champion mods on any weapon there would be nobody complaining.
-
1 ReplyEspecially in some master Lost Sectors. Only get stunned for a split second before they completely regain health and charge at you like an unstoppable. Not just 1 Overload, but I had 2 or 3 in a group charging at me like an angry rhino mobs. Either they need to be nerf or our champion weapon mods needed to work better on them. And without substituting for the 'lemon arc'. And while you are at it with some fixing this issue, bungie, go nerf those dang nabbed Wyverns too!

2 RepliesI not sure is it buggy Overload still healing and teleport during struggle no my team use stasis
-
11 RepliesLe Monarque. Problem solved.

3 RepliesEdited by Jebus Kreist: 5/2/2021 1:43:30 PMFun Fact: Simply shooting an Overload Champion with Overload ammo, even if it doesn't stun them, stops their healing. I had to use this many times during that 1 buggy time where overloads (or just that 1 in the Europa lost sector?) literally could not be stunned for longer than 0.5 seconds. Outside of content like Grandmasters and Master Lost Sectors, champions are largely a joke anyways. Inconvenient at times yes. But with Stasis every single Champion becomes a meme. Thank you Bungie. Now bring back Overload Solar/Stasis grenades so I get the stun-noise spammed at me while I perma-freeze them with Duskfield grenades.

I and many people have no problem with stunning champions maybe it's a you problem

1 ReplyFor the millionth time... 1. Equip Le Monarque 2. Profit.

Edited by Kouz_MC: 5/2/2021 9:13:44 PMOverloads are broken. Earlier today was certainly the funniest ever. We were running a GM, all of us using a different energy exotic bow, each one with overload arrows, everyone focusing the same champion, and that thing kept teleporting (hence regenerating instantly), and zig zagging non stop, shooting full auto while being staggered. Quite the joke tbh. Also stasis for overload and unstoppable champions must be fixed. It’s too op on AB, but totally broken for the other two.

Overload msg is not very reliable. It typically takes half a clip to stun a champion, and only one shot will be considered a stun shot. If the champion teleports or you miss when it gets to that shot, you’re screwed. It’s why I’d rather use overload bow or divinity to stun overloads. Look. Warming cells are good, but smog overload is really freaking risky. With overload bow, 1 arrow, champion is stunned, pull out anarchy, shoot a shot on him and on the ground, switch back to bow, quickly continue piercing the champion with arrows, champion now is not teleporting or healing, wait for anarchy to do it’s job, done.

Strange thing is in NF don't have a problem stunning them, but in lost sectors they recover in half the time. Have the developers given them a boost?
-
The first overload in Bunker E15 does not like to be stunned even by grenades. The overload smg is only effective if you land consecutive precision shots. The one in the boss room just quite literally shows up in front of you with no warning. No “a champion has appear”

2 RepliesEdited by massatony: 5/2/2021 12:51:28 AMOff all the issues with champions overloads are the easiest. Not sure what you're doing as you have a good bow. I use the Needle and it stuns them straight away. BTW I have all the legendary lost sector exotics for all guardians so obviously it's working for me. Black talon also works well.
