Sunset is a kick in the teeth
If people liked your new gear they would use it because they liked it!
Taking the edge off of things we enjoy if nothing other than the look of the item is steeling.
You ruined my experience.

1 Reply👆This right here. I was trying to be optimistic that we’d get a good loot pool in return for sunsetting but I am not seeing it. Not even close! I like to balance my load outs for rate of fire/range to cover all my bases but now I have a lot of holes where an archetype was sunset and nothings coming in to fill the space. Feeling very annoyed and put off

4 RepliesI agree . I said that i am quitting when this happens because i knew what will be like . I haven't played the game at all this season and have no intentions to play it . They made useless my weapons and armors in which i invested so much of my time getting and masterworking . I saw what is the new ''content'' Europa is not so big . One old strike and one new strike . The old cosmodrome . 2 hours of campaign and then the good old grind . Do bounties and then do more bounties and guess what ... more bounties . And every stupid youtuber out there that supported sunsetting and the constant grind is already making videos of ''HOW TO GRIND EFFICIENTLY'' Go screw your self

Everyone complaining about sun setting weapons. How would you feel if it was destiny 3 like it was supposed to be and you lost everything. Stop complaining and look on the bright side. It’s a game. 9 RepliesYeah... I’m not a fan of current weapon, and armour selection. The armour selection in particular is a huge kick in the balls. It’s hard to get motivated by the loot pool, when every piece of armour makes your Warlock look like a hobo.

It sucks. There's no Void bow to replace Subtle Calamity, no precision frame Solar bow to replace Hush, no new Solar sword, other than the one you could get from that Dungeon from last season. No new Kinetic Precision Frame Handcannons, no new machine guns, no new Linear Fusion Rifles. The list goes on and on. If they were gonna be this lazy with creating new gear, they should have reissued more weapons too. There are plenty of weapons from Y1, and a few of the previous seasons they could have brought back to fill the loot pool. This is a disaster. (Correction: there are actually 2 new Machine Guns in Beyond Light. Unfortunately, one of them is a Raid weapon, so...yeah. Still a major lack of variety.)

12 RepliesYeah, whats worse is them sunsettimg weapons for which there are no replacements. Quickfang is great example. Its the only sword of its kind and class specific. But there is no other one-handed blade. I mostly agree with your statement. If the new weapons are good enough to stand on their own merits then players will flock to them. But I don't see any viable replacements for weapons like cut and run, Duke mk 44 etc. Love this game. I really do. But I dont agree with sunsetting as of now and how its been implemented.

13 RepliesEdited by sati44: 11/11/2020 11:18:50 AMWait 9-10 months when the new dlc will be announced and Smith will squirm in his chair in a vidoc saying how sunseting was to much and how a course correction is needed and will be implemented in 2023 to ease on the sunseting:P After all FOMO, armor 2.0 (as it was at the start of shadowkeep), the 3 month long seasonal activities, the huge focus on bounties... Those are all his ideas and every single time he was stubborn and arrogant how his vision is the be all end all only to back track and make changes. So now we will have less fomo, less focus on bounties, tweaks to armor 2.0, seasonal content that will stay in the game for longer etc. And people again sing praises to him as a god of game design. Instead they just have to fix all of his stupid design decisions every single time.

6 RepliesEdited by Noble 6: 11/11/2020 12:28:39 PMI love how all of the arguments in favor of sunsetting have always ignored the most important counter-argument, which is: "But what if they can't provide enough replacements?" I've never actually seen a defender of the concept acknowledge that, they've only ever listed all the positives that COULD benefit the game. Which is hilarious, given how in Season of the Worthy Bungie had to choose between re-releasing D1 Trials weapons or re-skinning old models for "new" Pinnacles. And that company is going to provide enough new gear to make gear retirement work? It's incredible how so few people are willing to look at Bungie's history and then make accurate predictions as to how the future's gonna turn out.
