1 ReplyMy view is if you can be enlisted to fight, kill, and die then you should be able to vote, drink, and smoke. Either you’re an adult, or you’re not.
-
To fight in a war that started before you were born =/

1 ReplyDidn't they just raise the legal smoking/vaping age to 21 in the US? 18 just means the US Government thinks you're only a partial adult. 😂

12 RepliesImagine wanting to smoke a cigarette

Edited by Athos SD: 12/30/2019 8:50:33 AM
But don’t you dare smoke a cigarette!
125 years ago , I could list the number of freedoms you possesed . Buying property without government interference, selling food, going fishing, getting married, protesting, starting a business, collecting rain water , building property... to name a few. Now we under the illusion of freedom , and only the intelligent have figured out how robbed we are.

I still can’t get my head around 21 for drinking 😣 Freedom looks mighty funny at times 🧐

1 ReplyProbably good that the 17 year old doesn’t smoke. But I doubt it’s difficult for him to find a smoke from his military friends.
-
1 ReplyOr have a beer.

It's funny when there are no smoking signs in a garage reeking of fossil fuels.

4 RepliesEdited by ClothingOptionaI: 12/29/2019 11:30:51 PM
But don’t you dare smoke a cigarette!
Which is funny because a higher percentage of people smoke in the military than in the real world. Most people that join at 17 will be or will almost be 18 by the time they get to their unit after finishing IET. If one gets sent downrange, there's no minimum age to buy the nasty Pine Lights or whichever brand the -blam!- vendors sell on the FOBs. (Weird...H a j i...is censored)

1 ReplyAs far as I know, all you can do is complete boot camp. After that, you have to finish your senior year. Unless of course you already did, I’m not sure what happens then.

4 RepliesYou can join the military, but you can’t get a gun permit...

Shut up and comply. You have no choice. "Didnt you get the memo?..."

Well, It is in the best interests of just about everyone, including the individual that want to light up that they are encouraged to not do so at younger ages. Not only are smokers handing money to an industry that is built on bad principles (tobacco), they are also handing money to another industry that is built similarly (health care) when they become sick from it. Joining the military I am a little more on the bench about. I absolutely support the people who wish to join and have serve. The age at which they are allowed to make that decision should be looked at though. However, it may not change much over time. Government and military need able bodied people to shield their interests and country. A raise in age to enlist only allows an individual more time to consider their choice and purpose. I also think going any lower in age would be a poor decision. 17-20 is a good spot to be in my opinion.

You also can’t carry a box cutter when working in retail. Or touch a cardboard compressor machine. Or check ID. It’s so dumb

Edited by Cozyman Cam: 12/29/2019 3:54:48 PMYeah, that's how you know we are run by warmongers. They ωhοrε us out to war.
