I’m genuinely curious on people’s opinions. Also, have a wonderful day! :) Just keep in mind this is in theory. I don’t think we’ll ever see Destiny 3.

1 ReplyBungie can't handle managing their game as it is. Your theory is a pipe dream.
-
If Bungie does decide to balance console and PC ports seperately for D3 then, yeah, having a PC port is a great idea. If not, then I hope it's console-only because them nerfing things due to performance on PC is annoying.
-
its a ridiculous question as there is no way they will not release it on pc IF and when it comes out..
-
It's a business decision. It's up to Bungie to look at the costs of providing and supporting the game on the PC platform. They now know those costs where they may not have before. If they determine they can still make money, then they would do it. If it would lose money, they wouldn't.
-
Bungie needs to learn how to do separate balancing. The same problems on PC, aren't the same problems on Console
-
nerd fleecing streamers would throw a hissy fit.

2 RepliesI legit don't care. I won't be buying.... But I'll sell silver.

Edited by vxvxTITANxvxv: 12/29/2019 5:54:25 PMD1 was on console only and it was significantly better. I vote console only. #logic
-
It should be console only like D1, i would love to see all the butthurt streamers crying like little -blam!- (even more than normal) ;)
-
2 RepliesI absolutely agree. Bungie should never have introduced pc to destiny it’s just asking for trouble
-
PC only. Optimise everything including servers vs the P2P abomination.
-
1 ReplyThere should be 3 versions: Destiny 3 - PS (for real men) Destiny 3 - XBOX (for kids who wanna be real men) Destiny 3 - PC (for nerds and cheats)
-
17 RepliesIf you ever played on a pc getting 100+ frames with instant menus and discord for lfg you’d never want to play console again.
-
PC isn't the problem, it's Bungie and how they go about balancing
-
It should definitely be on pc still. But you're forgetting two important options we need: switch and vr.
mobile can go -blam!- itself
-
What difference does it make.

It’s a tricky subject. On the one hand, PC and console are a balancing nightmare when bundled together; they are completely different environments, at least in PvP. The logical solution would seem to be to separate the sandboxes, but at a point you’re going to need two separate teams to work with balancing both versions and given how slow Bungie is already with balance passes, this would likely be a suboptimal solution. As much as I’d love to say the game would be better if one side was removed, both sides have reasonable playerbases, PC isn’t a tiny minority like it used to be. Of course, one could argue console was here first but that seems like an arbitrary reason for such an impactful decision. To be honest, if they were to remove one, console would probably be the better decision (and this is coming from a console player). PC runs better, has less limitations so they can make their ever evolving world a reality without compromise, and there is no hassle to put out updates and no worrying about what to do with next gen. This, however, isn’t what I’m suggesting is the right decision. I believe Bungie made a decision (and the community did as well to some extent) to have Destiny on PC and both sides are going to have to deal with the consequences. It’s probably best they don’t alienate a decent chunk of their community by removing one side for ease of management. Instead, they should own this challenge, face it head on, and accept that not everything can be perfect when the game exists in two entirely different worlds. Keep doing what they’re doing, just do it faster; which I think has always been one of the primary solutions offered by the community. Balance things fast enough and nothing becomes “meta” for any longer than a month or so. This, clearly, is much easier said than done.

3 RepliesNo? What are you on
-
If you want to lose probably more than a third of the community and even less funding for bungie
-
Stuck between a rock and a hard place.
-
If they could do pc at launch, then they should keep it. If they can’t, then no
-
1 ReplyWhat's been nerfed on console due to pc? Also, i agree that bloom on console sucks and needs to be looked at, but you can't blame that on Destiny 2 being on PC.
-
2 RepliesNo, they already ported it to PC and given that PC is now the 2nd largest platform for the game it would be suicide for them to abandon it.
-
1 ReplyDefinitely. I started playing on pc and I’ve ran into so many cheaters. One game of gambit, this dude invades without any indicator or portal even being up and he literally was flying around and killing us, not even teleporting back after four kills. Pc has always been a breeding ground for cheaters and modders and need to be killed.
-
I think it would be a grave mistake if they didn’t release it on all platforms, as a business decision some of the global largest markets... Asia and eastern regions are largely PC focused as consoles are heavily regulated or in some countries not available at all.

Given next gen will make use of backwards compatibility for destiny, deej said when asked about the future of destiny on next gen this week, I'd say we're never getting a D3
