I just purchased a Isochronal Engram from Xur and it gave me a Lord of Wolves, which I had already received a while ago.
I have a number of other exotics which I've not yet unlocked... so is this a bug? I was hoping for a new exotic to play with.

Which character did you buy the engram? According to D2 Checklist - https://www.d2checklist.com/3/4611686018467380070/collections/tree/1139971093 You have all the exotic weapons that are not a raid or quest bound exotic and you have all of the Hunter exotics armor.

9 Repliesnope.. the fated engram will give you a new exotic that you did not get before.. BUT. please take into consideration that every new "version" of that exotic counts as a new one.. that will mean if you have a phoenix protocol in year 1 then you can get the phoenix protocoll year 3 as a new drop same with weapons. as soon as they have been released with a new season, your old exotic count is reset as the new versions (even if nothing changed to that exotic) count as new.. so using a fated engram will NOT give you the ones you miss since your exotic list has been reset with season of the undying..=)

You get all the newest exotics armor wise from the story with each character. Raid and story exotics you can’t get from the engram. You can only get exotics prior to season of undying

Allo there, The fated engram can only give you an exotic you don't own as long as that exotic isn't tied to the raids or quest. What are you missing and hoping to get?
